Church School Partnership Award

We are delighted to share that our school has been honoured with the Church School Partnership Award, a recognition that celebrates our strong and vibrant relationship with our local All Saints' church and wider faith community.

This award reflects the depth of collaboration between our school and our local church, affirming our shared commitment to nurturing a distinctively Christian ethos rooted in service, compassion, and mutual respect. Through regular worship, shared celebrations, pastoral care, and joint community initiatives, our partnership continues to enrich the spiritual and educational lives of all our pupils.

The Church School Partnership Award directly supports our vision as a Church school and SIAMS expectations which places strong emphasis on:

  • Flourishing Together: Our partnership models how church and school can work in harmony, enabling children and adults to flourish together spiritually, emotionally, and academically.

  • Deeply Christian Vision: Our shared mission is rooted in the teachings of Jesus and expresses a Christian understanding of life in all its fullness (John 10:10).

  • Community Engagement: This award recognises the importance of church-school links in building a loving, inclusive community that actively promotes dignity, respect, and hope.

We are proud to be a school where Christian values are lived out every day, not only in our curriculum but in the relationships we build—with each other, with our church, and with our wider community.

As we look ahead, we remain committed to strengthening this partnership and continuing our journey as a beacon of faith, learning, and love.

Our Partnership with All Saints' Church

We are incredibly proud of our close and meaningful partnership with All Saints' Church, which plays a central role in the life of our school and community. Together, we live out the Christian vision of life in all its fullness (John 10:10), fostering a deep sense of belonging, spiritual growth, and shared celebration.

Each year, we gather at All Saints’ Church to mark key Christian festivals—Harvest, Christmas, and Easter—with services that are true highlights in our school calendar. From Harvest samba dances, to Christmas Donkeys and Easter rap concerts and Eggstravaganzas we most certainly ensure that there key events are the best ever for our All Saints' children!  These occasions are filled with joy and reflection as pupils, staff, and families come together in worship and celebration.  In addition, we hold our annual school Leavers Service at Church which is always a poignant and memorable occasion full of tears of sadness and joy.

As part of our close relationship with All Saints’ Church, we regularly promote church events through our fortnightly school newsletter. This helps our families feel connected to the wider worshipping community and the rhythm of the Church year.

Highlights in the Church calendar include the Easter Experience, Carols by Candlelight, Christingle, and The Light Party—all of which provide meaningful opportunities for our children and families to engage with the Christian story in creative, inclusive, and memorable ways.

Everyone puts their heart and soul into these special events. Our children sing with passion and pride, creating moments that are not only memorable but deeply moving. The church is often filled to capacity with school families, and the atmosphere is simply stunning—a true celebration of faith, community, and togetherness.

We are immensely grateful to Vicar Dan, Sarah Holton, and all the incredible team at All Saints’ who welcome us with open arms and ensure that every member of our school community feels cherished and valued. Their guidance, hospitality, and unwavering support are a powerful reminder that we are more than a school and a church—we are one family, united in faith and love.

This partnership perfectly embodies the vision set out for SIAMS where flourishing together, community engagement, and a deeply Christian ethos are celebrated and encouraged. We are honoured to walk this journey hand in hand with All Saints’ Church, growing in faith, hope, and love.

Encounter AS church

A church at the heart of Marple in Stockport committed to helping people encounter, follow and share Jesus. All are very welcome of any, or no, faith.  https://allsaintsmarple.co.uk/

All Church schools have in their Instrument of Government, an ethos statement. In the Chester Diocese all schools have adopted the following statement, or one very similar:

Recognising its historic foundation, the school will preserve and develop its religious character in accordance with the principles of the Church of England and in partnership with the churches at parish and diocesan level. The school aims to serve its community by providing an education of the highest quality within the context of Christian belief and practice. It encourages an understanding of the meaning and significance of faith and promotes Christian values through the experience it offers to all its pupils.

Songs of Praise

Music and Worship at All Saints'

Music and singing are central to the life of both All Saints’ Church and All Saints’ School. We cherish the opportunity to share the same uplifting and faith-filled songs in our worship, whether in school or in church. Throughout the year—and especially during our annual Church Week—we explore joyful, action-based songs that inspire hearts, strengthen our sense of belonging, and deepen our spiritual connection. These songs often become long-standing favourites, carrying powerful messages that stay with us as a community of faith and learning.

At All Saints’ School, music plays a vital role in our collective worship and spiritual life. Many of the songs we sing come from well-loved Christian music sources such as Worship For Everyone by Becky and Nick Drake, Soul Children UK led by Chip Kendall, I Sing Pop, and Out of the Ark/Sparkyard. These modern, upbeat worship songs resonate deeply with our children, offering messages of hope, faith, and love that they can relate to and remember. Alongside these contemporary pieces, we also treasure singing traditional hymns, helping us stay rooted in the rich heritage of the Church of England.

Our partnership with I Sing Pop has been particularly special. We’ve hosted several concerts at All Saints’ Church that have become unforgettable community events—moments of joy and unity shared with our extended families.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, we proudly contributed to the Church of England's national music project with our version of "Looking to the Rainbow". This song captured our hope and resilience during a challenging time and remains a powerful symbol of our school’s faith and togetherness.
