The All Saints’ Way Parallel Curriculum
At All Saints’, we follow the All Saints' Way to Discover God, Learn Together, and Achieve Our Best. Our Parallel Curriculum is at the heart of this journey, designed to reduce barriers to learning, increase school readiness, and foster a deep sense of belonging among all our children. We are committed to ensuring that every child has the personal development opportunities they need to succeed—both academically and emotionally—while also supporting families to enrich their children's lives outside of school.
Rooted in our Christian values of Curiosity, Respect, Kindness, Courageous Determination, and Joyfulness, we offer a curriculum that promotes healthy lifestyles, a language-rich environment, and an understanding of diverse cultures. Our goal is to prepare children to be kind, empathetic, and hardworking individuals, capable of achieving their best in all aspects of life.
We draw strength and inspiration from the Lord’s promise:
“I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you.” (Psalm 32:8)
This verse is a reminder that, with God's guidance, we strive to support every child as they follow the path to success, both in school and in their future.
Children are given a booklet of activities to complete at home and at school, which are designed to help them explore, learn, and grow. These activities are intended to build relationships between home and school, and upon completion, children can earn bronze, silver, or gold awards as a way to celebrate their progress. We believe that every child should be able to achieve their gold award, and that this process will help them flourish in all areas of life.

Trips and Visits
Throughout a child’s time at All Saints' they will have experienced a range of special events, inspirational visitors, theme days and educational visits to ensure a wide range of learning experiences that further enrich the curriculum and help them become well-rounded individuals, developing their local cultural capital knowledge to capitalise on pupil's awe and wonder of the world.
Central to the belief that children should love learning and our belief that learning extends beyond the classroom, we offer residential visits in Key Stage 2, opportunities that help grow confidence, independence, resilience and self-organisation.
School Productions...
All Saints' Church hosts a busy calendar as EYFS tells the Christmas Story with their traditional nativity and KS1 also performs a show-stopping spectacular about the true meaning of Christmas.
We usually round the calendar year off with a KS2 carol service and our very own All Saints Christmas medley!
Throughout the year we have class assemblies, dance assemblies and music extravaganzas where all talents and skills are shared and celebrated.
We like to sign off each school year with a 
where Year 6 put on their very own Shakespearean production. We’ve had Romeo and Juliet, A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Macbeth to name but a few. All singing, all dancing, helping the children and families end their time with us in style.
Outdoor Area...
We are blessed to have such a beautiful and expansive outdoor area. Over the years the children have planted and nurtured the area and we are now reaping the benefits. Our forest area, Spirituality Garden and Junkyard support play, exploration and supported risk-taking, it develops confidence and self-esteem through learner-inspired, hands-on experiences in a natural setting. Our allotment space provides fresh, healthy produce for us to harvest and enjoy.
With the beautiful Marple canals, locks and aqueduct right on our doorstep, we take water safety seriously and have regular visits from the fire brigade as well as all Key stage 2 classes taking part in swimming lessons at the local baths. We have strong links with The Stockport Canal Boat Trust which regularly arrange for children to travel on their New Horizons canal boat, another highlight for our children.

Extra Curricular Activities...
We offer a wide range of extra-curricular activities which are designed to enrich the curriculum, offer new skills and develop new passions and interests. Enhanced by specialist teachers, our wonderful menu includes football, netball, dance, cross country, multisport, homework clubs and a wide range of music provisions including; recorder, guitar, ukulele and brass. Our popular school choir enjoys performing at various events throughout the year including visits to care homes and at other special events such as; St George’s Church- Stockport for Christmas and our absolute favourite event ‘Young Voices’ (the largest Choir in the World!) at the Manchester Arena every 2 years. https://www.youngvoices.co.uk/

Faith...
As a church school, we celebrate the importance of the Christian faith, which guides us in everything we do; we recognise our responsibility to all children and staff, to enrich lives and show respect within our school family and the wider community. The Religious Education curriculum immerses the children in other faiths through visits to places of worship, special visitors from all faiths and of course our daily collective worship.
The Archbishop of York Young Leaders Award (Year 5) is all about empowering Young Leaders to transform

Church Week is an annual standout event where we live and learn with faith, friendship and fun. It brings our Church School Partnership together with everything from; Church Bell ringing, Prayer Spaces and Art extravaganzas as mementos for the school to ensure our environment represents our distinctive Christian ethos to iSing Pop concerts. Church Week really is a highlight of the year!
Many yearly charity events (for example supporting our local pantry food bank ‘The Pantry’) or our Spirituality Growing Faith monthly Gardening Club are all enriching and nurturing and help us bring more to our local community.
Parents Events...
Harvest, Easter, Christmas and Year 6 Leavers are just some of the key services we celebrate at All Saints Church with families warmly welcomed.
Regular parent consultations and Open Mornings enable parents and carers the opportunity to talk to teachers, look at learning within books and set targets for improvements.
We celebrate our learning with parents weekly via Tapestry, our online communication portal. Teachers upload photographs, videos and messages together with a weekly Friday celebration shout-out.

Pupil Parliament and Ethos Group...
An active school council, which is democratically voted in by their peers, ensures our curriculum and enhanced curriculum offer will never stand still, the voice of the child helps guide the decision-making process.
Ethos group help to promote our Christian Values with the whole school, as well as taking a leading role in our Collective Worships with our Church/ School families worker each week in school through drama and reading prayers all prepared in a lunchtime weekly club. Ethos representatives have even attended a North West Ethos Conference, meeting other children to learn more about how to further improve their important role in our Church school.
